2020 Day 7

While today was a repositioning day for the support crew, it’s normally a rest day for the cycling team while we drive from Cranbrook to get ready to start our day in Salmon Arm. However, today while the support crew was driving our cyclists were still at home logging their miles. Some of our team members chose to stay indoors and spin their miles, we also had a number of riders drive to find better air quality which allowed for some outdoor rides. A small group gathered in Merritt, while some miles were logged in the North Okanagan, Shuswap and Kamloops area.

The forecast looks promising to end the week, and we’re even excited about the possibility of rain that would perhaps improve the smoke in the air. We’d like to get our riders back on the road starting tomorrow so that we can finish off our 20th ride with riders out in their communities. We know that the indoor spinning has been painful for many, so getting back out would be good for everyone.

Thank you to all who continue to support our efforts.

Best wishes,

Julio Krenz, Ride Captain
