Day 7

Day 7
By Marc Gruber, Joe Rich Fire Department

Red sky in the morning bikers take warning. It’s a bus day, a nice comfy seat day. Elizabeth Lake Lodge, an experience that I will never forget. The family experience a must stop. Off to breakfast bus loaded and small chatter about what is to come. ABC Country breakfast, eggs, bacon, French toast great way to start the day. As we say goodbye to Cranbrook the dark skies move on, blue sky’s in the distance. Fort Steele first stop, Jesse in his Red Serge, a little rain a fast picture and on the way once again. Next stop Golden, now to find the right location, with some great skills Kurt and Gevin saved the day. Lunch break and a fast 2 km ride to the IGA. Met the family and their little guy that Cops for Kids helped. Smiles, tears and laughter all around. Here we come Revelstoke watch out. Over ½ the bus are sleeping and missing the awe of mother nature. A warm welcome to Swiss Chalet Motel in Revelstoke, good food is a common occurrence at each and every stop. This afternoon we get to met 2 families. We met Justus, Cops for Kids gave him a I pad to help with school work. Azlan had received an ankle brace, Azlan was only able to stay for a short time as a soccer game was calling.

Next stop.. the haunted hotel “3 valley gap”.

The Tour
If you ever have the chance, stop at 3 valley gap, ask for “the George tour”.
On to supper… I am sure we will have a meal of a lifetime.
